At the time of writing (November 2024) hike up the Iya volcano isn't possible due to volcano activity (level III).
You also can continue westwards on the same day to Boawae, spend the night there and climb the Ebulobo volcano on day 4.
Startingpoint is Mulakoli near Boawae. Not yet visited often and not easy (leeches!). After the climb you can travel on to Bajawa, 1 hour from Boawae.
Instead of directly to Labuan Bajo you also can ad one day and make a detour via Wae Rebo. See the schedule below for day 8 and 9

Tip: this route to Denge is via de Trans Flores Road and Todo. You also can take the road to Iteng, south of Ruteng through the national park Ranaka and with
magnificent views. A few kilometers before Iteng there is a road to the southcoast where you can continue to Denge.
However, this means you need to skip the spiderweb ricefields near Cancar.
The part along the southcoast is a disaster to Denge and on your way to Labuan Bajo for one hour with a badly potholed road. But there isn't another option.
This route can also be done the other way around with some modification.
